What is Optical Coupler?
The optical coupler of the rigid endoscope is an imaging transition component connecting the rigid endoscope and the camera and is widely used in industrial detection and medical diagnosis.
Optical Coupler How to Work
The front end of the optical coupler is connected with the standard Φ32mm hard tube mirror by the claw, and the back end is connected with the camera by the standard C/CS mount. The target is imaged on the camera photosensitive device (CCD/CMOS) through the internal optical system, and then the target image is output through the display device.
The focusing handwheel can accurately focus the optical imaging system to make the output image clear and sharp.
Optical Coupler Standard
This optical interface strictly implements industry standards and can be adapted to many international brand endoscopes such as WOLF, STORZ, Stryker, MGB, etc., as well as other brands’ endoscope camera systems. This series is available in a variety of focal lengths. f=13mm/18mm/22mm/25mm/28mm/35mm etc.. can meet the needs of different applications and are ideal optical accessories for industrial and medical endoscopes.
What is the Difference Between Parfocal and Varifocal Optical Couplers
Varifocal Zoom optical coupler: Lose focus during zoom in & out. The camera has to refocus after zooming.
Parfocal Zoom optical coupler. Maintain focus during zoom in & out. The camera needn’t refocus after zooming.
What’s the application of Parfocal Zoom Lens in Mini invasion surgery by endoscope
For example:
During Hysterectomy surgery, in the beginning, it
needs a Wide-angle view firstly for checking The condition around the
uterus in the pelvis, later, goes to vaginal stump suture, you may need
to zoom in. the step is zoom in- refocus, but if you use a camera with
Parfocal zoom optical coupler, you just need to zoom- in, the focus is
always there. This gives a very convenient work process. Simple and
Accurate.
